I have stayed at this hotel (and other Premier Inns) many times in the past year mostly taking advantage of room rate offers which fit my plans. All staff have been consistently bright, cheerful and helpful on all occasions. The room rate/room quality/restaurant/staff attitude combination is, by far, the best I have experienced amongst budget hotel offerings - and good by comparison with some more expensive hotels.

Fantastic facilities with reasonable prices and warm and freindly staff to ensure that the customer feels valued. Our Daughter had booked in to her room the night before, when we arrived we asked for a room on the same floor, which they gave us, but would not give us her room number. (which we understand) Very good breakfast with lots of choices the chief even made me an egg white omelette with mushrooms and tomatoes, he even came out and asked if it was OK . Reasonable bar prices as well. Only down side is the parking, you have to pay £4 for 24 hours but spaces are limited.

Another premier stay which was excellent, as I have said before you know what to expect when you book a Premier stay. This was located within walking distance to shops pubs and restaurants. We had a room at the back near the railway line but I can honestly say I didn't hear any trains until I woke up the following day. My concern about this particular Premier was from other reviews the parking was very limited, we were very lucky there was about three spaces available when we arrived around 3pm. We had no need to move the car throughout our stay as we walked into town the day of arrival and the day of departure. We were able to leave our cases in a locked room once we checked out and walk into town. We will definately use this premier again when we go to Southampton

Arrived late on Friday night after a long drive from Manchester, managed to get a space in the on-site car park which is excellent value at £4 for 24 hours.

We checked in fairly quickly and our room was ready, clean and exactly what you'd expect from a Premier Inn. We booked well in advance and got a great deal. We didn't use the bar or restaurant for food so can't give an opinion.

The only snags i did have were the bar was shut when we arrived and there was a party in one of the rooms on our floor. We mentioned the next day that this woke us up during the night, to which the lady on reception replied ''we'll deal with it''.

The hotel is in a perfect location for the town center and St Mary's stadium. Although the hotel backs onto the train line, this didn't have any affect in waking us up.

The room and breakfast were excellent but the hotel is next to a train line with trains all night. On check out the receptionist seemed dissimissive and suggested that I stay at another branch in Southampton the next time. Enough said... The price was more than reasonable though.

I stayed here for 3 nights in January. I was holidaying on my own ( my husband was skiing). The location is only a short walk from the town centre and very convenient for the bus and train station.
I did not eat in the restaurant but the menu looked ok.
The staff were very pleasant and the room was large and comfortable with good soundproofing.
I would certainly stay here again on my next visit.
