Dirty linen & bathroom
Room situated on main road very noisy

Would not stay here again
Staff not compliant
Restaurant 1 hour waiting times
Menu poor very expensive food
Was enjoyable but at the price you paid you'd want it to be a great meal

Apart from the fact that my sat nav couldn't recognise the post code and we drove around for ages trying to find the access our stay was very comfortable and convenient for visiting for visiting friends on the Dawn Princess in the QE2 dock.

My friend and I booked a twin room here. We got a soft comfy double bed and a rock hard back killing sofa bed. Reception told us it was a standard single bed. It is not it is a sofa bed. If i wanted to sleep on a sofa bed I could have found somewhere cheaper instead of paying over £80 a night room only. The photo on booking.com showed a twin bed room. If you read PI's t&c they say in some hotels the twin room is a family room so the adult sleeps in a bed destined for a child. Shall not book PI again.

Stayed here in May 2014 for a visit to see the three Cunard ships in port to celebrate Queen Mary 2's 10th birthday. We normally stay at West Quay in Southampton and wondered how the two hotels would compare. The city centre hotel is a little further from the quayside but is just as nice to stay in. Pleasant staff, good food and good bed what more could you want? Both hotels are only a short walk from the railway station. Oh and seeing the three Queens together was fantastic.

Good sized rooms with a very comfortable bed.
Bar and restaurant are on the 5th floor giving nice views over Southampton.
Food was pretty good and the breakfast excellent.

only bad point was the bar closing at 11:00 on a Saturday night just as the world cup quarter final went into extra time.
