Located just a short walk from the city centre, we arrived by coach which is within walking distance, although a long walk with luggage. The staff were friendly and helpful, giving us advice and a map of the city. The room was large, well lit and with a view across the city, although a busy railway ran alongside the hotel and our room was on the 2nd floor we were not effected by any noise.
We did not eat at the hotel as we had better and cheaper options close by in the town.
We took a taxi from our hotel to our cruise line at Ocean Terminal costing £7.50p, it is within walking distance depending on luggage and stamina!
Southampton was an delightful city and well worth a visit on it's on.

We were very impressed with this well located hotel. Our stay consisted of two nights at £29.00 per night (Bargain !). A genuine very warm welcome awaited us on our arrival, the reception staff were very friendly and informative. Our room was big, spotless with a decent size bathroom, flat screen TV and incredibly comfy beds. We used the breakfast deal where the kids ate free which made it very reasonable. The breakfast itself had an excellent mixture of continental, cereal and full English with a selection of fruit juices, tea and coffee. We also used the bar in the evening which was very clean with friendly staff. The early check in and late checkout (midday) plus free parking made this a very convenient and economical night away. Well done Premier Inn ! We would most certainly use your services again.

Friendly staff, central location, parking is very very limited however with local council parking available. The room was of a good standard however under our bed was left male birth control?? (unused).....I have heard of chocolate on the pillow but this was a new one,we mentioned it to the reception who immediatly offered to move us to another room however we did see the funny side of it and declined. If you do park in the local carparks (and you will need to) you have to feed the metre after 8 am so no sleep inns and if you return late of night youmay need to walk through a subway.Overall excellent value for money, book in advance many £29 offers.Well worth that!!!

Stayed here for 2nights in february with my boyfriend. Hotel staff were very friendly and willing to help. Check in took some time as there was a mix up with our booking, the room had only been booked for one guest instead of 2, althought the problem was resolved. The room was clean and basic and good value for the price we payed. The bed was comfy and the bathroom had a good power shower. Check out time was midday which was great. The only downside to our stay here was the dinner. We arrived at 7pm and decided to eat in the restaurant as it was handy. The food wasn't nice at all and I was sick the rest of the evening. Despite this, my boyfriend wanted to eat breakfast in the hotel the following morning so he had the full english breakfast and I had the continental breakfast which was of great value. The breakfast on the other hand was fine. There was also a luggage room where we could keep our bags as we were not flying home until late in the evening. The location of the hotel was great, 5mins walk in to the city centre and right beside southampton FC. I would stay here again although I would avoid having dinner in the restaurant!
