Contrary to Kathryn M's review, we found just the opposite! We too arrived wet and cold but the warmth of the reception and hospitality of our host more than made up for any discomfort we may have felt. We very much appreciated the homemade cake and cup of tea. The wood burner was already lit, which made the living room nice and cosy - and dried our boots beautifully!
After hearty supper at the Shoe Inn we retired to our comfortable beds and had slept soundly until, tempted back to the main house, for an scrumptious breakfast - you must try eggs baked in the agar - divine!
Our thanks to Tina to a wonderful stay and suggestion for the rest of our trip.
We will be back (but in the summer!)
