To start the owner of the property was lovely, very welcoming and helped us with any of our queries. The location is peaceful and isolated but close to the train station and bus stops so you can get to places of interest fairly easy and I imagine even easier if you drive. There is a store about ten to fifteen minutes walk up the road, where you can buy essentials and more. There is also a nice pub near by with a garden area that serves food till late. My only issue was that I didn't realise the cottage is attached to the main house so me being a very polite and shy felt the need to be extra quiet. Other than that is a beautiful place with great scenery such as handsome trees and breath taking rivers. Takes you right out of the madness that is everyday city life.
Great ,title cottage. Sue the owner was very pleasant and helpful even bringing us a glass of champagne as it was a family birthday. Cottage was extremely well equipped with a huge comfy bed. The setting too was very pretty in a quiet country lane. We only stayed two nights but hope to return for a longer stay in the future
