Granary Cottage was comfortable, clean and in a beautifully peaceful part of Herefordshire. Close enough though to Hereford to make regular trips to the Three Choir Festival an easy undertaking. Many thanks to Salma and her husband for making our four days so enjoyable.
This was a delightful place to stay, very clean and well equipped. The kids loved paddling in the river nearby. Thank you for the stay and your kind hospitality.
We really enjoyed our Easter break staying at The Granary. The accommodation was very well equipped, well maintained and very comfortable.
We enjoyed visiting Tewksbury and Ledbury on route. Local attractions included a visit to Hereford cathedral to see the display of poppies, Ludlow, Leominster and the Black and White village trail which was worth seeing, especially Eardisland with the little shop by the river, which is totally ran by the community.
Worth walking down to Bodenham church and nature reserve/lake too.
On Easter Day we had a very nice home cooked roast dinner at The Railway Inn, Dinmore, only a 5 minute drive away. Well recommend.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Thank you for making us so welcome.
Located in Herefordshire near hamlet of Bodenham, the Forge offers comfortable accommodation in refurbished historical buildings. The River Lugg flows by just beyond the private picnic area behind the cottage. Full kitchen, separate dining and living area, fully equipped bath, two bedrooms, fast internet that works, dishwasher, all small kitchen appliances. Access to free laundry. Interior is new and clean, exterior is quaint and tidy. Extremely friendly and helpful hosts who know the area. Near local attractions such as the Hampton Court Gardens, the Hereford Cathedral with chain library and mappa mundi, and the old Bodenham church dating from something like the 1400s. Lots of nearby English country restaurants and pubs. Towns of Leominster and Hereford nearby with good antiquing. Hay-on-Wye just a bit farther, world renowned for quaint old bookshops and antiques.
Really is a picturesque location and the Granary is full of charm. It's a warm, cosy flat with a terrace - perfect for sitting outside and enjoying the surroundings. The children loved walking through the field full of sheep to paddle in the river. Wild rabbits added to the charm! The flat is wonderful- can't complain, it was clean and just as described on the website.
