We were staying at Lucksall caravan park and decided to have an evening meal at The Moon. We were made to feel very welcome and the food was lovely. However, I wish the chef had kept the staff informed of changes to the menu. The landlord had told me that the soup was artichoke and I was really looking forward to it. When the soup arrived it was tomato! I informed the landlord and he took it back and returned with the artichoke soup, telling me that the chef had just made the soup for the sunday lunch and was trying it out. The problem was quickly rectified and the soup and our main courses were lovely. I then ordered apple crumble (which was a standard desert on the menu) but when it came, it was blackberry and blackcurrant. I didn't mind so I didn't say anything. The staff were so lovely the landlord's wife even offered to drive us back because she said the road was dangerous. What a lovely offer! We declined because we wanted to walk off our meal. Would definitely return!
