“Lovely gardens but no tea room”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 June 2014

Lovely peaceful location.Delightful gardens and water features.Very disappointed there are no refreshments on offer or a tea room.Nearly all gardens open to the public offer some kind of refreshments. The shop where you pay to enter the gardens is overpriced with kitch and bric a brac.Good value at 4 pounds to view the gardens.Well worth a visit but take your own food and drink.

“Deserves to be visited”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 May 2014

Lovely gardens being brought back to life by the owners. Long established trees vie with water features to grab your attention. The white wisteria, almost in flower, covers a long pergola and there is also a kitchen garden with some free range chickens. Excellent fabric and interior shop. Low entry fee for both adults and children under 13.

“Dog Friendly Delight!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 February 2014

We discovered Brobury when we were staying at Hergest Croft Gardens not too far away-another wonderful dog friendly garden.
The National Trust needs to look at gardens like these where the enlightened owners realise that visitors who visit gardens with their dogs are responsible people who look after their charges, unlike many irresponsible parents who let their charges run riot, much to the annoyance of other visitors!
In all the time we have been visiting dog friendly gardens we have never seen any mess.Another d.f. garden near here is Westonbury Water gardens ,another delight.
As for Brobury,it is just about perfection. The site is wonderful with the bridge and river as the ideal background and the planting is so imaginative with the impressive pile of the house at centre.
We especially loved the water gardens with the fascinating raised walk above them.Don`t forget the fabrics shop before you leave!

“Loved it so much we got married here!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 November 2013

Beautiful gardens at any time of year. We first visited with my mum & dad, and we were looking for a wedding venue at the time - this became where we got married as we just fell in love with the place! The house is lovely and we were married in the conservatory which was just perfect. Definitely worth a visit for a stroll around the grounds and down to the river - we often return and relive our happy memories of our wedding day as we walk around! Lovely place and very special to us now.
