“Tadpole Lodge”
Reviewed 26 October 2013 via mobile

We visited in mid Oct for 5 nights. The location was perfect, away from town but a quick drive to Ledbury. Near enough to the M5 & M50, as we got to Bath, Cheltenham & Birmingham quickly. Wales is pretty close too, plus lots of NT places to visit locally. The lodge was lovely, warm and comfortable, and equipped with everything you would need for self catering. The hot tubs were lovely, just big enough for the 3 of us.

I was concerned before I arrived that the pool would be a hazard for my 2 year old, but it is only accessible from a locked gate so the whole site is safe for a active kids. The pigs, hens & donkey were a lovely bonus to introduce to a city boy & the eggs from the hens were yummy.

We hope to go back again for a longer stay.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay in the Tadpole Lodge at Oasis Lodges. The lodge was very comfortable, warm, clean and modern....It was very homely and had everything that you could ever need for a relaxing get away!
The setting of the lodges is beautiful and very peaceful. The weather was very cold and snowy so we didn't fancy braving swimming in the outdoor natural pool, but the hot tub was the perfect place to relax and keep warm...as was the sauna!
I would love to return in the summer to experience swimming in the outdoor pool!
The owner was very friendly, and informed us of some places to visit during our stay(Symonds Yak Rock, what a beautiful, memorising view!), as well as showing us around the lodge and how to use the hot tub.
There was also an option to buy some lovely fresh eggs from the hens kept onsite & and to use the newly installed Wi-Fi Internet (very handy!).
A fantastic stay, would love to return in the summer and will definitely recommend to others!

Family of 6, stayed in the 3 bedroom LILY LODGE.

This is one of our first UK family holidays, and we loved it. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We took lots of board games for the children, took away their electronics, they didn't moan they were bored once! We visited the local areas of Malvern, Hereford and Ledbury. Great location and beautiful setting.

Things to do on site included- hot tub (of course), small sauna, swim in natural pool, small gym/table tennis area, swings, look at horses, play in the woods, play on the grass, kids could ride a bike, have a BBQ, sit on the decking and relax both upstairs and down. Eat outdoors.

The lodge was lovely and had everything we needed, 3 bedrooms, large lounge with flat screen tv, kitchen/diner with dishwasher, washing machine and plenty of utensils. X2 bathrooms, X2 showers. Lots of storage space and plenty of outdoors area. The furniture style was nice, and everywhere was comfy, especially the beds. I liked all the extra touches like having a hoover there just in case, tea towels, cloths, towels, soaps and toilet rolls, washing line. It all helps make life a little easier.

To improve- Larger signage from both directions. Scented plugs to the kitchen and lounge, (it smelt a bit musky) more large towels, a larger TV in the master bedroom; the current one is pointless, as it is too small and strained my eyes. The bed was comfy and duvets and pillows were quality, but i did not sleep well with feather pillows, they were too soft. Perhaps a selection of pillow types in the wardrobe would be helpful.

I would recommend Oasis Lodges. I would go back again!

Room Tip: Stay in the 3 bed Lilly Lodge, end of the row, overlooking the horses.

We stayed in the Dragonfly Lodge in February 2013. In our party there were 3 adults and 3 children and the lodge was plent big enough for all of us . When we arrived Roland was there to show us around and how to work everything . The Lodge was furnished to a high standard and was very clean and warm, everything you needed was there . The setting of the Lodges is fantastic and sit overlooking the natural swimming pool. None of the lodges are overlooked and the private hot tubs are great , both for relaxing for the adults and for the kids to play! Roland and Diane leave you alone but are on hand if you need help with anything. If they are not on site you can call or text them if you have any problems or just want to know something
If you are thinking of booking one of these luxury lodges, just do it you won't be disappointed
Thanks again to Roland and Diane and we hope to see you both soon

The Oasis sign on the road is a little small and could easily be missed but if using a SatNav it takes you stright to the entrance of the driveway to the lodges. After diving down a bumpy driveway it soon opens op to a fantastic view of the natual swimming pool with the lodges in the background. As soon as we parked outside our lodge the owner came over and said hello. He was very polite and showed us around the lodge how to use the hot tub and sauna. He also pointed out that there is a donkey in a nearby field that you can feed + two pigs after that we didnt see him. The lodge itself was very clean and tidy and warm. The kitchen was stocked with all the untencils that we needed, with a fridge freezer, washing maching and a dishwasher. The living room had flat screen TV & DVD player. we had 4 adults sharing the Tadpole lodge and was spacious. A perfect place to sit back and relax. If you feeling brave I would recomend taking a hot sauna then jumping into the natual swimming pool, I did this in November and its not as bad as you might think..!

Oasis lodges are nothing short of fantastic. Our two small boys loved the experience and we loved the relaxation and beautiful surroundings. It is well managed, very clean and well kept and has all the comforts of home. I would recommend this for families and couples alike. The hot tubs at each lodge were a lovely extra touch to help with the slowing down from the hustle and bustle of life.
Ledbury itself is also a lovely little town for browsing and lovely lunches.

I will probably not make sense whilst writing this review. I loved the place so much I just can't say enough!

We stayed in the Dragonfly lodge in June 2012. Diane the owner showed us everything and how it worked. The accomodation was perfect. Everything was spotless, and really big - Lots of room for your own stuff. (although there was only the three of us and it sleeps 6).

The road is so far away from the lodges that it didn't bother us in the slightest. We were really lucky/spoilt as we were the only people staying at the time we were there so there wasn't any noise from any where else either! We had woodland to the front and fields behind.

The hot tub is lovely. A little day to day maintence require whilst there if you use it but nothing difficult and they show you what to do. This allows them to leave you alone if you so wish, rather than them come up to your lodge while you are there. We used this every night and our daughter loved it! It was lovly to relax, have a glass of wine and watch the swallows darting about the sky.

The owners don't live on site, however I believe they use one of the lodges for themselves when they are there. We did see them for short times each day while they were doing maintence, water plants etc, but they weren't there much.

Inside the lodge we had everything we needed. We bought our own towels from home for use in the hot tub, otherwise we wouldn't have had them dry for the morning showers. Also as there were only three of us, we only got three bath towels/sheets supplied. I have long hair which requires an additional towel. I'm sure if I'd have asked we could have gotton another, but we managed perfectly fine without.

The central heating was lovely on a couple of chilly mornings (I think we stayed in the worst June ever!). It was also nice to have a full sized kitchen with appliances. We ate in on two night and out on two so being able to store food in the fridge and frezzer was handy. As was the dishwasher!

We didn't want to leave! And would certinaly love to go back and are hoping to save up to do so next year.

Room Tip: All the lodges look fab! Choose what suits you best.
