I visited Chez Pascal with my family last week. The menu was much more than just the "run of the mill" French style. It was imaginative, interesting and seasonal. It was presented with flair and had obviously been freshly prepared. Pascal doesn't just cook in the French style, the love and care he puts into producing the food is totally French. We look forward to visiting Pascal's for dinner soon. At present he is doing breakfast, brunch and lunch. For anyone with a sweet tooth, he also makes a wide range of delicious patisserie. Very French!

A friend and I meet weekly for lunch and girly chat and decided to eat at the newly opened Chez Pascal which is situated part way up the cobbled pituresque Church lane. The open courtyard was packed with customers enjoying their lunch "Al Fresco" and since it was very hot weather we wandered inside where the interior decor was very french in style, but with old English oak beams. La mer was playing softly in the background to add to the authentic atmosphere. We ordered Elderflowe presse which was served immediately in long glasses clinking with ice and little plastic stirring spoons. We had ham and cheese croissants (jambon et fromage, actually!) and although there was a little waiting time, we explained that my friend was on her lunch break so we could not delay, the food arrived served on large square white plates with an imaginative mix of side salad including strawberries, and the lightest of melt in the mouth croissants, filled with creamy cheese and delicious ham, the juxtaposition of the salt ham and salad was perfect. The staff were charming and helpful and Pascal ensured he greeted everyone in person as if each were his special friend - a nice touch in this anglo french experience. Jan Long, Ledbury

We found this place more by accident than anything else. The weather was very hot so we chose to sit outside in a wonderful shady courtyard. Having placed our order with the very friendly waitressing staff we were then approached by Pascal himself who went around each table and introduced himself and, although a man of few words, or perhaps little English, made us feel very welcome.
The food was lovely and the staff were more than happy to keep bringing us tap water.
Looking around at what everyone else was eating, it would seem that this little place serves excellent food at very reasonable prices.

A very tasty Fish Gratin was enjoyed here today sitting in the shade in the courtyard of this lovely little French eatery.
La patron Pascal was serving and introduced himself to the diners by shaking hands.
I loved the unpretensions, service was excellent as was my lunch. Not licenced yet, it's only been open three weeks.
I would go again and reccomend friends to try it. Superb!
