Bar was soaking wet with menus, tables were sticky.. Cocktails were average, nothing amazing. Acoustics and PA system was really poor, couldn't hear anything..

Definitely invest in a better music system, purchase some mackie mr8's.. pretty flat frequency response and translates well so people can hear eachother.. Speaker placement would be 2 mr8s either side of the bar on the wall.. And mr5's situated around the corners by the windows and back corners. Would make for a good music experience and will make the whole vibe a lot more attractive... Also invest in an LED bar light under the bar surface where people stand to set an instantaniously good vibe upon enterance. This is good advice, take it.

Really great bar, the layout, music, staff and drinks. Had a great few drinks on our one night here.

Would defiantly go back again and would highly recommend to anyone going to Hertford.

“Burger Me! What a find”
Reviewed 9 September 2013

We had breakfast in here on a sunday a couple of weeks ago, and we were so impressed we thought we'd go back for the 'full works'. So we went on the 2nd of september for our wedding anniversary. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the person behind the bar. The waitress came over and took our cocktail order while we looked at the menu. I asked for a salad main as a starter which they did for me in a smaller portion, followed by burgers onion rings and sweet potato fries, for pudding I had the knickerbocker glory. I'm a fussy eater and even more so with bad service but a just could'nt find fault with anything. The staff are fantastic they create such a great atmosphere, they seem really happy to be serving you. And of course the food really was great. Reccomended: Sweet potato fries & knickerbocker glory.

“Expensive!”
Reviewed 15 August 2013

£24 for a jug of (weak) Pimms!!! The drink prices in at this place are a complete joke. I won't go again after being charged nearly £12 for a beer and a wine. My wife went last month and was ripped off for two jugs of Pimms. They've since offered a £10 voucher as an apology - that's just under half a jug!
