What a lovely place. Butterflies, cutter ants and wild flowers, lovely.
We went on a sunny day, the flowers were at there best. The butterfly house, isnt as big as it could be, but worth it. But be careful as it can get really hot in there.
The gardens were lovely, with some great ideas. Play area for the kids, with lots of areas for sitting down.
Walks all around, including the lake, with ducks and lots of dragon flies..
The only down side were so many school kids, screaming etc
Staff were helpful and my daughter had cutter ants drawn on her arm, she was well happy.
Lovely few hours, could have spent more time there, but had to drive back to Southampton

We came for a 90th birthday age range 3-90 was a lovely day weather wise, but not what I was expecting. The ant house took 5 mins to look round, the butterfly house 15 mins max as so hot in there not complaining about the heat just extremely hot in there. The insect house was a in and out job. The gardens COULD be lovely but lack nice flowers and thrive lots of weeds and nettles. Could do with a sensory gardens and mechanical butterflies. Can NOT fault staff at all as they bent over backwards to make sure our day was wonderful. we had afternoon tea inc sandwiches, cakes and tea which was lovely too. All in all a good day I've always wanted to take the kids I won't be going back any time soon but I can say I've been.

Butterfly World is a great place to bring the family. Our nearly 4yo loved every moment. Especially when a staff member was releasing a dazzling array of butterflies in to the main display area.
Well worth the visit.

Plenty to see even though the project is not finished due to lack of money. Make sure you do the walk around the perimeter. Good restaurant.

A sight for sore eyes - butterflies from the world in a wonderful setting. They land on you everywhere and ideal for an educational visit by children who all seemed spellbound on our visit.
