I stayed here with my husband for my birthday in November. We'd booked a newly refurbished room but were pleasantly surprised to be informed that the hotel had upgraded us to a suite... Wow! It exceeded our expectations. Luxurious, romantic, sumptuous sum it up. We had a table booked for dinner and 11 friends joining us. Our meal was delicious, not a single complaint, the staff were attentive and the atmosphere was good, with live music played as we ate. My husband had made arrangements to decorate the table earlier in the day and for Birthday cake to be brought to our table after the meal. He said that the staff were really helpful and that nothing was too much trouble.
After dinner we danced the rest of the night away to the disco. Shame the disco didn't start a little earlier, I could've danced all night. We had a few more drinks in the bar area before retiring to bed.
After a great nights sleep, we went for breakfast- Delicious, this topped off a wonderful stay. Thanks Joe and all the staff at Ardmore house, I haven't stopped recommending you.

Have stayed on previous occasions and always found the management and staff very welcoming and helpful. On this occasion our room was good, tastefully decorated with ample en suite facilities. However, we had a previous poor experience 2 years ago in a family room with the en suite in the cupboard! Very unsatisfactory.
We only had B & B but the breakfast, as on previous occasions, was first class - excellent choice for the full English and a wide assortment of goodies on the cold buffet. Food was piping hot and freshly cooked.
Out stay was for 2 nights to visit family and do a bit of sightseeing and shopping - all of which were within walking distance of Ardmore House. We will stay again.

Room Tip: Difficult to recommend unless you know the hotel well.

Stayed here for a 60th party. Very friendly staff, comfortable room and a delicious buffet. They did a good prosecco and canapés reception. The staff were very engaging and friendly. Didn't hurry us out too much at the end of the do. Breakfast good with choice of wide buffet or cooked. Decor perhaps a wee bit dated in the common areas and bathroom but not an issue for us. Italian hospitality - would recommend

We stayed whilst visiting friends locally. The room we had was in the top of one of the buildings and felt cramped, made worse by the sloping ceilings - however, one person's cosy is another's cramped! As we were so close to the roof, the room felt a bit chilly - I'm not sure I would like to stay there in a really cold spell.
The room was clean and tidy with all facilities in good repair.
Breakfast was generally good and served in a pleasant and airy conservatory area.

Room Tip: Avoid the 2nd floor rooms if you can

We had eaten at the Ardmore on several occasions and have always been impressed with the food and service. We have just had another fantastic evening and overnight stay here. We invited a party of 40 friends to join us for the evening and they all agreed the food was lovely, staff were all friendly and very helpful and the music and dancing contributed to a most enjoyable time. Our room was clean and comfortable, breakfast excellent and we will be returning next month.
