Description: As an old coach house that dates back to 1758, The Green Dragon became a pub several years later, steeped in history, with original features including the low beams and the fire place in the bar area. Julie has been the owner of The Green Dragon for 10 years and counting. We serve traditional home-cooked food, lunchtimes everyday, as well as evening food from Tuesday through until Saturday, and take pride in every meal thats sent out of our kitchen. We also host live music throughout the year with some fantastic bands, solo acts and acoustic live mic sets hitting the pub. A warm welcome is always received upon arrival and we hope to see you soon whether it be for food, drinks or a little bit of live music.

This is a great pub for live music, we saw the push on a Friday night what a great atmosphere and the place was packed with people dancing. But really where did they get a band of this standard to play. The locals seem to know a good thing when they see it, I suggest you try it out for yourself, make sure you don't miss the push when they play this wonderful riverside village pub

Most disappointing pub I have ever visited. Waited for an hour for a sunday roast, two vile sandwiches and a freezing cold lasagne. You could buy a nicer sandwich from a petrol station. When we requested the bill, apparently the till does not produce bills - a complete rip off. You would have to pay me to return there! Such a pity as we went for a family lunch to celebrate my husbands birthday.

What a wonderful little gem we have in London Colney with The Green Dragon. The food and atmosphere are second to none. Whether you are going into the restaurant to eat or just popping in for a pint on the way home, this is THE place to go. We have taken friends and family there, all of whom agree. What a lovely setting to sit outside with a drink and/or lunch on a summer's day enjoying the world go by on the village green.

I would recommend to anyone to visit the Green Dragon.

No nonsense pub with great location, decent beer, friendly and efficient staff and a menu of standard pub fare that has something for everyone. Nothing to take the breath away but food is plentiful, good quality, and served with a smile. Best pub in the village by a distance and has been for years. Minor quibbles - don't bother with green salad garnish to ham egg and chips, waste of effort all round. Tip for newcomers, park near church on other side of road and walk under bridge over river, parking outside pub has all the hallmarks of a blocked in nightmare.

Been here before for an evening meal just the two of us, so this time I thought I would bring the family for my husbands Birthday. I had booked a table for 10 people, when we arrived our table wasn't ready so we had a drink at the bar a nice atmospher in the bar, we sat at out table (resturant side) a bit of a squeeze but they done there best! The service is efficient giving us plenty of time, we all ordered the roasts beef & pork, it took about 45 mins which gave us time to have a drink and chat the food is amazing my beef was tender, the potatoes crisp the veg was served separately carrots, French beans, broccoli & leek& peas in a cheese sauce so plenty to eat all the plates were cleared. Now the pudding I had the choc cheese cake what a treat, again all the plates were clean. The food served here is fresh with lovely flavours, and the service is friendly, as we finished our meal a band started to play great music after your Sundayt lunch so we stayed relaxed had another drink & enjoyed
