Description: As an old coach house that dates back to 1758, The Green Dragon became a pub several years later, steeped in history, with original features including the low beams and the fire place in the bar area. Julie has been the owner of The Green Dragon for 10 years and counting. We serve traditional home-cooked food, lunchtimes everyday, as well as evening food from Tuesday through until Saturday, and take pride in every meal thats sent out of our kitchen. We also host live music throughout the year with some fantastic bands, solo acts and acoustic live mic sets hitting the pub. A warm welcome is always received upon arrival and we hope to see you soon whether it be for food, drinks or a little bit of live music.

I hadn't been here for a few years, so decided to try it out again. I was really impressed with both food and service. On Monday to Wednesday nights they offer a fixed price menu for two courses at £11.90. With a cheeseboard to follow and a soft drink, my bill came to £19.90. Very good value for such a tasty meal. Service was friendly and quick and the food was definitely gastro pub standard.

This pub has been my local for many years and is part of our great social life in this lovely village. Julie the landlady is lovely along with her very friendly staff. The pub has a seating area with a view of the river. The food is just devine and I can highly recommend the burgers and wraps. They have great band nites and open mic afternoons aswel as special menu nites. This pub is not to be missed you sooooo won't be disappointed.

Had all 3 courses and can highly recommend eating at the Green Dragon.
The scallop entree was amazing.
Recommend the rib eye steak for main and toffee pudding for desert.

A perfect place for lunch after visiting the De Havilland Aircraft Museum nearby, a must for anyone interested in British engineering brilliance in WW2. The Green Dragon is an 18th century pub set by the River Colne where we received a friendly welcome, delicious food and a fair choice of hand-pulled beers, Abbot, London Pride and Doombar. Fish and chips was squeaky fresh and a huge portion for under a tenner and my pal enjoyed the slow baked ham with egg and chips. British pub food at its best and the people are friendly and in no hurry for you to leave. Tip from the staff - best to book for Sunday lunch
