We came here with my little nephew for some tea and cake.

The owner is so lovely and is South African. The cakes included some South African specialities of melk tarte and malva pudding - malva pudding we tried and was gorgeous! Also had the rooibos tea which was lovely as ever.

Very friendly owners and nice setting in an old curved corner shop.

In my opinion Ryde can be too touristy and the cafés dingy but this one is a lovely refreshing option and beats the rest by far! I liked the sound of the international cuisine evenings they run twice monthly.

Visit this cafe!!

This is a little gem of a cafe. The food is really delicious and definitely home-cooked. it could perhaps be easily overlooked if you don't know Ryde, but is still only a couple of minutes from Union Street. the food always has a diffentl twist to it. You have to try the marinated carrot salad, it is splendid (as is the coffee). Very friendly owners too. I only marked it down a point because of having to borrow the key and go a few steps up the road to use the private loo - a bit weird but not a problem unless it's raining.

Have been here a couple of times for Breakfast and never been disappointed. Great service and always tasty and freshly cooked. Nice view strait out the door over Ryde and the Solent.
