We've just returned from a very relaxing weekend break at Westcourt Farm, Shorwell, Isle of Wight. The hostess Julie Russell and her family are very welcoming when you arrive at their 17th century farmhouse.
The bedrooms are extremely comfortable and homemade cakes await your arrival - delicious. Children are welcome to watch the lambing or witness a calf being born at this working farm. The full english breakfast includes tasty free range eggs from Julie's 9yr old son Connor's chickens. As well as the B&B you can stay at the converted Cart House or in part of the historic farmhouse as self caterers.
We walked the hills of the farm and could see the english channel from the top. There were plenty of nice pubs for lunch.
Julie even booked our Wightlink ferry ticket which was cheaper than us doing it ourselves. We just felt like one of the family and will definitely be going back.
If you feel like getting away from it all (as we did) this is the place to go.
