We have now been to eat here twice in a matter of weeks. The staff are very friendly, the building is beautiful, the beer is good and the food is probably the best of all the Shepherd Neame pubs. I don't think anyone would be disappointed if they visited.

They claim to date from the 1300’s which could certainly be true judging by the building. Came by for a beer and returned for dinner. Had an excellent meal of steak pie. Just a pleasure to sit here and enjoy the history.

Went to The Parrot for drinks and had a fantastic time. Good service and good beer and wine in an unforgettable location.

We had the BEST server (feel silly for not getting his name!) He was so attentive and had many suggestions. He's learning the beer culture and is able to talk so freely and with so much knowledge about the beer - my husband is a novice brewer so loves chatting all things beer.

All the beers we tried we enjoyed - and had great conversation around the flavor notes!

Our food was incredible. I had the seabass, as per recommended by our server, and I've never had a better fish dish. My husband ordered the pork tenderloin and our son ate the Mac and cheese!

Highly recommend making a stop at the parrot, even if it is for 1 quick drink!

Loved this pub ,the oldest in Canterbury ! Friendly staff and lots of memorabilia ,well worth a visit or two ,great food and beer ,definitely visit again
