“Lovely slice of history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 February 2014 via mobile

Friendly & enthusiastic guide at the entrance. Only takes 20 minutes to see everything, but well worth a drop in. Glad not to have been a pilgrim 800 years ago, I think the sleeping accommodation may have been a little damp!

“Perfect little add on to you cathedral visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 February 2014

Add this to you itinerary when visiting the cathedral. I felt this was more worthy of a donation that the big church. Facinating view of a pilgrims journey.

“small gem”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 February 2014

12th century hospital that used to have 12 beds. Now almost empty rooms, with boards in them you can read about its history. There are 3 rooms and a chapel to see, costs £2 to get in.

“Small but worth seeing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 January 2014

Unspoilt building, with history oozing from the pores! Pilgrims could stay one night and there were only four rooms essentially. The history of the building since the reformation also came through from the display. Worth a quick look round.

“Lovely staff.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 January 2014

After doing my pilgrimmage to Santiago last year, it was interesting to see a pilgrim hostel in my own country. There is a lovely peaceful chapel here and the staff are lovely.
