“Small oasis in the centre of the old city”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2012

The Franciscan Gardens are a tiny but very peaceful oasis in the middle of the old city of Canterbury. A nice place to retreat to when the bustle of all those tourists gets a bit too much.

“A small, intimate chapel and gardens”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2012

A fabulous, small chapel, literally over the river, with neat gardens, not far from the Cathedral, within the city walls

“Lovely Garden”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2012

Tucked away in Canterbury Greyfriars gardens are well worth a visit, the gardens themselves are relatively small, but teeming with wild flowers. A very relaxing place for a picnic

“Nice park”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 May 2012

It's a nice little park with a waterway and a chapel (closed) which clearly had a previous life as a mill. The ducks along the river, the old brick walls and the huge age-old tree next to the chapel make it a very charming place
