“Beautiful, well kept gardens”

Beautiful, well kept gardens all year, used by all age groups with respect. Well worth a visit. Historical location near Westgate Towers at end of town centre.

“Beautiful”

Free, beautiful, well maintained gardens. A nice break from the other things in town to see. Perfect for a lunch or snack.

“The prettiest gardens in Canterbury”
Reviewed 2 October 2013

These gardens combine history, green space, flowers and quaintness brilliantly. They are a beauty to behold, especially in the summer. The flower beds are stunning and the river is great for cooling the feet.

If you continue through the gardens you also make it to the cycling/walking route to Ashford. Whilst the full trip may be beyond most, I would recommend a return trip to Chartham and back.

“Peaceful contrast to the busy city”
Reviewed 21 September 2013

Beautiful garden and walk by the river, just on the edge of the city centre. Plenty of places to stop and sit down.

“A small heaven”
Reviewed 20 September 2013

I visited the garden many times. Actually my job place is very close. After parking my car I always came through the lovely garden. The small river Stour, the old trees, flowers, squirrels, everything is amazing. Beautiful relaxing scenery while walking down the path along the river. There are benches besides the Stour where sometimes I sit for a while and relax. There is a lovely flower bed on the front side of the garden. She is naturally very beautiful.
