“Tried the Sunday Roast”

The ale was great, extremely helpful staff, especially with the beers; but my meat was so tough I couldn't even cut it let alone eat it. I would not recommend it.

“Great beer!”
Reviewed 26 May 2014 via mobile

We have been here twice while in town. We love the beer, a wide variety brewed on site. It is particularly nice that the bartender will pour a generous taste before you buy.

The food is good too. Nothing special, just hearty English food. We found the staff very friendly.

“A great find in Canterbury”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

Visited with friends on a wet Thursday in Canterbury. The men are real ale enthusiasts , so were keen to test the ales, brewed on the premises.
Food choice was good, something for everyone. A little disappointed that the soup and lasagnes had to be returned to the kitchen because they weren't hot enough, but they were very tasty when eventually hot.
Would definitely return if in Cnaterbury.

“Great place!”

A very cute microbrewery and restaurant. You can try the beer before you buy and the staff are extremely knowledgeable and informative. We had a pie and mash which was excellent.

“Nice beers!”
Reviewed 20 April 2014 via mobile

First visit while on a day out in Canterbury. Saw the sign for 'brew pub' and decided to give it a try. Good selection of Canterbury Brewery ales and real cider & perry. Were thinking of having dinner too but as there was a large party up stairs we were advised that it would take an hour so ate elsewhere. 10% discount on ales for CAMRA members.
