“Nice bit of culture”
Reviewed 30 August 2014

The museum is good, lots of information and artefacts to learn about the Abbey. The audio guide is good, if a little out-dated. The entry fee is reasonable. You do have to use your imagination a little bit but it was good to go and see and learn a little bit of history of Olde Timey Canterbury!

“Beautiful!!! worth a visit!”
Reviewed 30 August 2014

This is an absolutely beautiful place to visit! Not for a full day out but if you're in Canterbury give it a visit for half hour or so. We got let in for free due to a person living in Canterbury letting us in with their key card; however we were unsure how to exit until we eventually found a button! I do not know how you can visit here without being a resident so look this up before you go!

“Surprised it was so quiet”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

This is a little gem and worth a visit when in Canterbury. Entrance fee is minimal with interesting plaques around the grounds as well as audio tour which we did.

“Nice Ruins”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

We did a driving trip in the UK and after seeing beautiful abbeys I really wanted to see ruins and here I got that. I can only imagine what this place looked like in the day, the site is well maintained and the grounds are lovely. There are many artifacts inside the admission building that really show what it could have looked like.

“Historic gem”
Reviewed 22 August 2014

Not sure really what to say - it's the site of the ruins to St Augustine's Abbey. Informative, especially with the audio tour (you can ask for headphones to attach to the device or use your own). Value for money - the knowledge the admission charge feeds back into keeping historic buildings/site in good condition keeping history alive.
Make sure you go on a dry non windy day unless you like getting wet and walking through mud!
