This is a lively busy pub and if you can get a table then they serve good simple pub grub between 6-9pm (and also at lunchtimes). Nothing out of the ordinary but it was of a quality much better than Wetherspoons at a comparable price, seemed freshly prepared, chips were delicious and thick cut. They had a set menu but daily specials as well. Service very friendly and polite and didn't have to wait long for the food. Lovely large grassed garden with tables (and games to play whilst waiting!) and inside there is a nice little snug room for eating, sheltered from the main bar.
