“Impeccable Accommodations and Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 November 2012

A friend and I recently stayed in the barn conversion self-catering apartment (#3) and it was absolutely a dream. The place is newly done, with heated floors, a full kitchen (including a clothes washer), microwave, oven and hob (cook top). In the kitchen there is also a toaster, refrigerator and tea kettle with coffee, tea and sugar. Sarah, the proprietor, left some milk for the tea in the fridge (nice touch!). Another tea kettle is in the separate bedroom, along with hot chocolate, bottled water, a small TV and a dresser. The bathroom and kitchen is completely handicap accessible.

We arrived later in the day, just before dark, and Sarah offered to cook us dinner: a fabulous gourmet meal with roasted chicken and fresh vegetables, delicious bread, real butter, and a home made dessert. Yummy! We ate by candlelight in their huge dining area with another visiting couple and had a wonderful time sharing stories. A full breakfast is served at your convenience in the morning in the dining area. Since we were leaving early on our last morning, Sarah graciously made us a breakfast-to-go, including wonderful bacon sandwiches, fresh fruit, and a bottle of scrumptious Kent Apple Juice. It was even delivered to our room the night before. It was delicious!

The farmhouse is on a narrow ancient road and, coming from the USA, I found it a little difficult to maneuver on the road when encountering another car. I recommend coming to the facility during the daylight hours, at least for the first time.

Wi-Fi connection was great and readily available at no extra charge in the barn rooms and main house. This was an important feature for me, and we wisely chose this room over the Orchard Pickers Cottage with no internet availability. A quick email to Sarah and my room was switched to the Barn. Thank you Sarah.

I can't say enough about this accommodation and its location to downtown Canterbury and other locations in Kent. Everyone was extremely kind, helpful and truly care about your stay with them. Thank you to all, especially Sarah who actually dried out my laundry!

A nostalgic visit to the most beautiful bit of this most beautiful county was made really special by a stay at this lovely quintessentially English B&B. Even the dog and horses welcomed you with open arms and the food was amazing.

A very warm welcome, I ate at the farm, following a late arrival, dinner was well prepared and well served. Equally the full English breakfast was very very good. The accommodation is made up of a building that is meant to a converted stable, but is purpose built, at least one room was in the farm house and a lodge room was at the top of the field, well away from noise and other people. The walk up the path in the field could have been better lite. But the room/lodge which consisted of a very comfortable bed, a Wet room very practical and a small kitchen was very clean tidy and homely. The only things that could have been better was the log burning fire was too close to the bottom of the bed and WiFi signal didn't reach the lodge. Thank you for an excellent stay if the opportunity arises I will re book.

Working in Central London, myself and my partner both had a day off so we jumped on the chance and decided to go visit Canterbury. We browsed and looked on review sites and deals... everytime Iffin came highly recommended!

Before even arriving Sarah and the rest of the team done everything to make sure myself and partner were accomodated to our needs! Even so much as to provide local taxi information and have a bottle of local wine ready!

The cottage was amazing and words cannot describe the value for money! Breakfast was brilliant and very warming to see the service delivered with a smile and conversation. Arrive late? Not a problem! Wish to leave a little later? Not a problem!

I kinda wish Iffin was somewhere in the south of france of near New York because I would have even more of an excuse to to take time off... however, it's right on your doorstep! Don't let this one slide!

I quarantee you'll love it..... we are already planning our return! That was on just one day experience, imagine a week ********** (their stars)

Very nice farmhouse setting & our accommodation was excellent. We were made very welcome and the breakfast was delicious. The breakfast setting is interesting as it's one big table that all the guests sit around, so you have to engage with your fellow breakfasters!

Would thoroughly recommend the Iffin Farmhouse for its setting, proximity to Canterbury and the welcome.

What a wonderful place. The little cottage we had was lovely and comfortable and we felt really relaxed here as it was so peaceful. You would not believe that it was about 5 minutes to the hustle and bustle of Canterbury. We had a warm welcome, and the young lady who served breakfast was very friendly. The breakfast was excellent and certainly filled you up for the day. Thank you for such a lovely two night. It has to be one of the nicest bed and breakfast places we have stayed at. Thank you so much.

Room Tip: The Cherry Pickers cottage ideal if you wanted to be able to cook for yourself in the evening as it...
