Stayed for two nights for a friend's wedding in Canterbury. Great location, very central. Parking good value at £5 for 24 hours. Anyone moaning at this needs to get real - that'd get you about 3 hours tops in most city centre car parks. Room on first floor was clean and everything worked fine, was warm but we were provided with a fan. Staff particularly very helpful in this hotel which was lovely nothing was too much trouble. Booked breakfast with the room - was fine as usual plenty of it - obviously it's a buffet breakfast so it's not freshly cooked to order which again isn't a problem especially for the price - we paid 90 for two nights fri and sat which is a bargain. Most travelodges are warm as they don't have air conditioning so if you're after air conditioning then you just have to pay more to stay in a posher hotel!!!

Stayed a couple of nights in May. Not really like a Travelodge other than the excellent price. Central location within a five minute walk of the cathedral. Very upmarket for a Travelodge. Staff really friendly and helpful. Small on site car park, with additional parking at the rear. Did take a while to find though. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again next time in Canterbury.

I stayed here for one night before travelling to the channel tunnel the next morning. It only cost us £30 so I can't really complain. Room was smallish but clean and in a perfect position to explore canterbury. £5 to park overnight which is fair. The main negative was the heat in the room during the night, it was so hot it made it difficult to sleep although they did supply a fan.

I would not normally book Travel Lodge as previous experience has not been good. This hotel however was exceptional! The staff were really helpful in particular Beth, she wanted to be at work, she wanted our stay to be special and nothing was too much trouble! The whole experience was good, the room was clean, bright, had a TV plus tea making facilities. The hotel had a small restaurant which serves freshly cooked breakfast, none of those hideous 'breakfast bags' !! They also provide a small evening meal menu too! Would I book there again ? Definitely!! My only ask is can we have a hair dryer in the room!!

Had 1 night stay on a Saturday the hotel was busy but the reception staff made the effort to talk to me and my partner. Nothing was too much they recommended places to go and see. The room was hot but we was provided with iced water. The room didn't have a fan but we asked at reception and it was delivered to the room, please bare in mind they are first come. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced for what we are getting. Room was really clean could not find any fault. This hotel is a credit to your company. Defiantly returning.

This hotel was apparently refurbished but I didn't see any indication of this. Paint was flaking off the walls and looked to me like it was in need of being refurbished.

The room was average, it was mostly clean but the windows and windowsills were filthy with dead insects and mould.

The reason I give a terrible review is because we got absolutely no sleep due to the heat. There is no air conditioning and the windows only open an inch or two. It was unbearable.

We will never stay at a Travelodge again as we had the same problem at a different one on the way home from our holiday.

Superbly situated for an historical tour of Canterbury. Easy to find by car, parking available and cheap (free for disabled) affordable, pleasant and hassle-free, with staff going out of their way to be helpful.
