“Superb!”
Reviewed 28 January 2014 via mobile

Love the fresh new look of the new Premier Inn. It has a much classier feel but still the same great value. The room, staff, food, location - everything was excellent! No parking on site but there is a large carpark a few minutes down the road. £12 for a 24 hour period. Although note that there is no charge between 9pm and 7am so if you arrive late and leave early your fee will be minimal. It's £1 an hour although this is due to increase to £1.20 in April possibly. The hotel is opposite a Waitrose and there is also a Tesco Express next door. Ideal for a cheap drink in the room ;-) Only a few minutes walk into town. Can't fault it! This is a million times better than the Travelodge! Pay the extra.

We only used this hotel for 1 night as we had to be somewhere the next day. Very friendly staff, lovely bedroom and comfy, and good view of cathedral from room window. Breakfast was lukewarm and toaster not working. Paid in advance for our stay and breakfast but when booking out was told we owed them for 3 breakfast. Had to dig receipt out of bag to prove I had paid which caused embarrassment in front of other guests. Would stay there again as lovely cozy rooms and everything you need, good value for money and right in the middle of town but would go to supermarket over the road for my breakfast.

Opened a week before Christmas 2013, this Premier Inn even ‘smells’ new! All the best of Premier Inns across the country meets here. Our one-night stay was a delight. Self-check-in means no hassle at busy times. All the staff were ever so pleasant and helpful. Make it your base in Canterbury. We put a few small niggles (“Sorry – we’ve run out of butter” at Breakfast!) down to “teething troubles” as the new staff team settles in. On-site parking only for disabled – and the access from disabled parking is not the best. But do, do stay here!

I stayed for 1 night with my son, I was told I could have an early check-in at 12noon as I booked through booking.com, the Receptionist told me there is no such check-in time and that it was 2pm, however I had to be somewhere at 2pm so I was not impressed. Eventually after she got the key card to work I checked in at 1.30pm, I was told nothing about the bar/cafe or breakfast options, check out time or my room number and that I was on the 4th floor???????

I stayed at Canterbury Chaucer Travelodge the following night, this was better value for money and the staff were fantastic and accomodating, parking wasn't an issue either unlike Premier Inn.

My partner and stayed in the new premier inn in Canterbury. Staff were very friendly. Parking a nightmare (parking limited) our room was great as we had a front facing room so we had nice view. Very sound proof as we didn't have noise from traffic. Sadly the only down fall to our stay was our bedding and my dinner. Other then that premier inn Canterbury has many things to see do and the town centre is just a stroll down the road.

I stayed for one night with 3 kids in a family room. There was a double bed and two singles. The room was tiny but we were there only for sleep so it didn't matter. The beds were comfy, room itself and the bathroom very clean. Super friendly and helpfull staff. Very good breakfast, a lot of choice. Family friendly, children stay and eat for free. The only disadvantage is no parking and that's why I'm taking one star off:-(

Friendly staff and great breakfast. highly recommended xx
