Four Seasons Bed and Breakfast
Ranked #57 of 74 Canterbury B&B and Inns
Reviewed 9 June 2010

Four Seasons is our favorite B & B in Canterbury. Natalie and Roger are always friendly and helpful. It’s nice to have a warm welcome when you’re travel weary. Being of a certain age, it is important to us to have a quiet night’s sleep in a comfortable bed followed by a delicious breakfast in the morning. Four Season provides all this perfectly. The rooms are attractively decorated, very clean and well equipped with an obvious attention to detail. A bonus, which we haven’t found elsewhere, if you want to have a take away meal you are welcome to use their dining room. They even clear up for you afterwards !

We have also stayed at Natalie’s and Roger’s self catering house situated in a quiet residential area outside the city. Again, attractive rooms, well equipped, and with the convenience of a quiet neghbourhood and off-road parking. Also, strongly recommended.

I have stayed here before and appreciate the fact that there is somewhere to sit if I do not want to stay in my room - the 'gusst lounge' is a nice space to sit and do a puzzle, read the paper or just chill or maybe even ch, , heck my emails.

There are signs that this is not just a business but it is also where someone lives - bookcase full of books, glasses in a cabinet, well used board games even a chess set.

The bedroooms are just what they say - clean.comfortable and above all, well thought out, There are pictures ont he wall, which make it feel like home and best of all, there is even a cork screw if you wnat to take a bottle of wine to your room.

All in all a very nice, well maintained place to stay.

Starting with a kind greeting and ending similarly, the service was superb. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious (first time eating muffins!) and the owners were helpful and polite. Even the damp weather could not dampen their spirits. A very pleasnt stay and will definitely recommend and consider again for ourselves.

My wife and I have stayed with Roger and Natalie before, we are never dissapointed. This time, for the first time, we had their double bedroom which they advertise as having a smaller ensuite possibly not suitable for guests over 6ft. We loved the room, it is decorated in a very clean, modern look the same as the other rooms we have stayed in. The only difference is that the ensuite is smaller, but certainly not tiny! and it has a fantastic powerful shower. We didn't ask, but we think the reference to guests over 6ft is probably because the door is infront of the loo, so if you are tall you may have trouble sitting on the loo with the door closed. I am 5ft 10 and had no trouble.
Anyway enough of the toilet talk! just a quick review this time to say thank you to Roger again for his warm greeting and to Natalie for her excellent breakfasts. See you soon!

we were met with a smile and the offer of tea or coffee - what more do you want after a journey?
Not just the hosts but the guests were really nice - breakfast became the time to jshare what we were all planning to do that day.
Best bit for me, the tv on the wall - no more having to crane my neck to see what is on - oh yes, nearly forgot - also having freeview made it easy to catch up on things I might have missed, like the soaps!

This B&B was a great location from which to see the local sites - easy walk to town - can walk via the river for a scenic walk. Hosts very friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent. Room very comfortable although a bit small, however quiet and provided a good sleep. Wifi internet available but at additional cost, although only 2 pound for the time your there, however it is the only place we've paid for internet during our month in the UK. Free parking around the back, but only small spaces and vehicles may require shuffling about if more than 2 or 3 vehicles. Some spaces may be available on the street. Overall a great place to stay and good value - Recommended.

We were welcomed at the front door by the owner Roger who promptly showed us to our room (room 1). We were pleasently surprised, the room was light, airy & very clean, the beds were comfy & the shower was lovely.Anything that we required was in the room too, Roger offered us a cup of tea whilst we unpacked which was really nice.
We decided on Rogers advise to take the scenic route along the river to walk into town, it was lovely to walk in the sunshine after a long drive. That took us around 20 minutes, it was lovely to walk around the city centre & the Cathedral was just amazing. We walked back along the main road which took us 15 minutes. Breakfast was lovely, we had ordered our main cooked breakfast the night before so on arrival in the dining room we were seated & showed the cereals, fruit juice & fruit & told to help ourselves. Our cooked breakfast was then brought, everything was freshly cooked & it there was plenty which filled us up ready for the day.
The hotel has there own 3 parking spaces which was nice to be able to park without paying as we have in many other places.
