My daughter stayed here for 2 weeks when she discovered she was not allocated accomodation at Kent University. Her hosts were very friendly and accomodating at all times and she felt very welcome despite her unexpected situation. We chose Acacia based on the previous reviews on here which were absolutely spot-on. Thoroughly recommended.

Tam & Mark are sincere and energetic hosts. I was visiting older relatives and found spontaneous assistance everyday that greatly helped me, not only find some of the people I was looking for; but, generally made my visit to Canterbury a very memorable one. Their location on a main (but quiet) road allowed me easy access by car or foot to the city and the surrounding country. My wife and I will include Acacia Lodge on all our visits to Canterbury. Oh, almost forgot, their breakfasts leave nothing to be desired!

Stayed here for a family weekend. We had the 'garden room' at the rear of the premises, quiet and with our own private car parking area behind locked gates. Comfortable, friendly and very well-located. Perhaps not quite the classiest of B&Bs we have stayed in: some cheap fixtures and fittings (like the flimsy loo seat and the sink plug that didn't fit) let the side down a bit. But on the plus side, very well placed in a reasonably quiet street just a few minutes' walk from the centre city, friendly and obliging hosts, reasonable price (especially for a B&B this close to the city), decent breakfast and the biggest, comfiest double bed I can ever remember sleeping in.

We had a wonderful stay. Easy access to London by train. Excellent location to the old city of Canterbury only a 15 minute walk to the gate of the old city. Easy access by car. Ample parking. We found the owners and staff to be incredibly helpful and gracious. They have a lovely backyard to sit in and enjoy.. We recommend this B&B to everyone we know going to England. Canterbury is a very interesting city with easy access to many other destinations such as London and Dover.

My friends and I had the pleasure of staying with Tam and Mark in June and had a great time. We received a warm and friendly welcome and excellent advice on going into town and what to find and where. The rooms were small... but perfectly formed! All had en suite bathrooms and flat screen TVs with satellite TV. And last but not least... excellent breakfast!

A comfortable B&B with reasonable rates. Easy walk to Canterbury sights including the cathedral. Tam and Mark are excellent hosts - friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We appreciated the free use of the computer to keep track of the volcanic dust cloud! The bed was comfortable, the en suite spotless and tea making equipment handy.

Our room was fine for two, clean, and room for our two large suitcases. Tam and Mark were excellent hosts with special appearance of Peter Parker and then Superman to serve our toast on various mornings. We got good advice on taking a side trip to Whitstable 4 miles from Canterbury to "watch the sunset on the beach and try their oysters". Recommend making reservations if you want to eat at a restaurant or pub on the beach. Canterbury a great place to visit.
