My husband and I have just had a lovely weekend with friends. This is our second visit to this hotel and it still lived up to its very clean, friendly reputation. The value for money was exceptional, and the food in the restuarant was delicious. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, Natalie was on reception when we booked in and booked out, and she was delightful, doing all she could to welcome us. She is an asset to have on reception. We have stayed at 2 other hotels in the chain and not had anything to complain about at. We recommend you join the Breakaway club as the deals are very affordable.

Just returned from a weekend break with husband and friends. Room was large, clean and very comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast for two nights, the food was delicious and the service very good. The pool, sauna and steam room, followed by a dip in the pool proved a very enjoyable way to spend a wet weekend. Didn't use the spar this time but have on a previous stay. The staff at this hotel are excellent and one in particular, Natalie on reception, went the extra mile to ensure our stay was perfect. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Dear b_holmes1,

What a fantastic review, thank you so much. Natalie is over the moon to have her 'name in lights'. It's always nice to see guests returning for some well deserved down time with us.

I'm sorry I couldn't arrange the Winter Wonderland Weather this time around! Be sure to come back soon and check out our refurbishment.

All the best

The Bridgewood Manor Hotel has a cosy atmosphere with fireside bays that make you feel at home. The staff are very attentive and try to meet your every need. The restaurant had a more adventurous menu which was appreciated. The breakfast was excellent.

Generally was impressed with the hotel staying for a 2 night stay in January. On the first night there was a comedy club which we were warned about but didn't hear any noise.

Breakfast was a good selection, the restaurant was very busy on Sunday morning.

My only gripe was the temperature of the bedrooms. Despite having a window open day and night the radiators were on full blast and made it too hot for sleeping. A fan had been provided but I also find this too noisy for decent sleep.

Good location for exploring Rochester, Chatham or further afield.

Dear Wilsonh23,

Thank you so much for your review. I'm pleased to hear that you ranked our service and value at 5 out of 5 along with cleanliness, rooms and location at 4 out of 5.

I've taken on board your feedback about the heating in the rooms, and am working with my maintenance and housekeeping teams to re-check that the guest controls for the heating are full functional in every room.

I look forward to welcoming you back when you are next exploring the area

Booked a spa weekend for our wedding anniversary.

First impressions were very good. Reception area clean and spacious, very helpful staff. Upgraded to a suite, but could not really see what I was getting for my money.

Light lunch fine, but that's when you start to notice the hotel is looking extremely tired. 2 covers missing from the heaters.

Onto the Spa. Again, nice staff, but the sauna looked dirty and the handle inside the steam room was broken. Spa was very busy, but not enough beds or chairs for guests to relax on.

Back to my upgraded room, a chip in the glass shower guard and a toilet flush handle that seemed to have been grouted into the tiles.

Dinner was very disapointing. Great looking food, but portions that were too small served on cold plates.

Have to admit, that breakfast was very good. Usual buffet style, but very good selection of both hot and cold fare.

Too sum up, not enough attention shown to the small thing that make the difference between an average hotel and a good hotel

Dear Alan H,

Thank you for your balanced review. I'm pleased to see that you had a good night's sleep, and that you enjoyed your breakfast and lunch. I'm sorry that you felt the upgrade to on of our spacious Suites did not represent value for money

You'll be pleased to know that over the coming weeks we are undertaking a refurbishment in the lobby, bar and meeting room areas coupled with our ongoing maintenance plan for other areas.

It is always nice to hear that the team have looked after you well thank you for your kind words in that respect

Kind Regards

This hotel has everything really, great food, good rooms and a lovely spa area. Yes the stream room and sauna are a bit on the small side but that didn't matter to us for the deal we got and the treatment we had it was a lovely stay. Staff are very helpful and polite would definitely recommend and re visit.

The rooms, restaurant and bar areas of this hotel are really lovely but having booked this hotel for a spa night the facilities let it down. The pool is fairly small so if you get more than a couple of people in there at a time it is difficult to even swim. The sauna and steam room are the smallest I have ever seen and there is no jacuzzi. The gym is also quite small with very old equipment that could do with being far better maintained. There is a great deal of wasted space in the spa area as when you walk in there is a big room of tables and chairs which really seems to serve no purpose and the space could be far better utilised in my opinion. On the plus side, the heated relaxation beds are perfect as they are in a darkened section of the pool area away from everything and the free hot chocolate is amazing.

The food I had in the restaurant in the evening was a little disappointing and probably not as good as any of the other Q Hotels I have stayed in - Basingstoke, Ashford and Cambridge. Breakfast was also not as good in this hotel as the others. Quite a poor selection of fresh fruit, no cheeses or meats and only plain bread for toasting. However, the breakfast muffin's are amazing so make sure you try one!!

All the staff I encountered were incredibly friendly in all areas of the hotel from the restaurant to the bar and the spa to reception. They obviously work hard but all seemed very happy which is nice to see.

Overall the stay was enjoyable as we made the most of the facilities but it's just a shame they are in the state they are in as they could be so much better if just a little bit of money was spent.

Dear Dee_Dee_1974,

Many thanks for your review. Thank you for the feedback concerning the pool and the gym areas, I'm pleased that on the whole you enjoyed the Spa, in particular the heated beds and hot chocolate.

I'm following up with my Head Chef the points you've raised about your evening meal and breakfast, and I must confess to having a soft spot for the Breakfast Muffins too!!

Thank you also for the kind words concerning the friendliness of the team, your comments were very warmly received.

I look forward to welcoming you back
