“an excellent gallery hiding away - always worth a visit to view local talent!”
Reviewed 20 November 2012

Having exhibited in recent years at this Gallery, I have only praise for the team who have kindly supported me after suffering years of rejection which left me disillusioned with the Art world.
With kind words and encouragement from the Nucleus people as well as general public feedback I now have full confidence to do my own thing regardless of any negativity and have managed to establish myself, locally at least, and for that I will be eternally grateful. A big thank you to all concerned.

“Exciting friendly Gallery and cosy Cafe featuring new artists at accessible prices.”
Reviewed 23 October 2012 via mobile

As an artist who has exhibited at this venue before,I have nothing but praise for the Gallery, staff and Cafe. With a regular rotation of artists, there is usually something to stimulate and excite. The cafe provides a welcome respite from the busy town centre and an opportunity to meet artists over an excellent cup of coffee.

“the best meeting place in Chatham”
Reviewed 23 October 2012

Tucked behind the Trafalgar centre is the best meeting place in Chatham.
The cafe serves fresh food and great coffee. The ambience is relaxed and arty, with original works on the walls, and current art and music listings on a side table. Beside the cafe is the best Art Gallery in Chatham, often showing local artist's work. The courtyard catches the sun all day and is surrounded by low walls and little trees. There is a rentable community room here, and about 20 artists rent studios upstairs.
An ideal spot to rendezvous when in Chatham, and see original artwork.

“Wonderful Art & Good Food on Chatham High Street”
Reviewed 14 October 2012

It is known locally as "An Oasis on Chatham High Street" and having visited Nucleus Art Centre on many occasions I can vouch that this statement is 100% true.
They have so much to offer, and yet it is still such a well kept secret locally... now it's time to share this secret!!

There is a wonderful Cafe with welcoming staff, freshly brewed coffee and scrumptious cakes. They can also provide you with homemade food and daily 'specials' for lunch.

Following your break, enjoy the large exhibition space next to the cafe, which showcases local artists work on a regular basis. The exhibitions change approximately every two weeks with preview nights giving you the chance to meet the artists.

They also support the local artists by providing affordable artists studio spaces - approx 27 studios-which are home to painters, screen printers, jewellers, ceramicists, sculptors and illustrators to name but a few. The studios are often opened to the general public to look round during the Medway Open Studios in December and June.

Finally there is a smart conference room which can provide an affordable and accessible space for meetings, workshops or training sessions, while the cafe can cater for all your refreshment requirements.

Nucleus Arts really does have it all ..... whether visiting for a family workshop, a business meeting or a coffee with friends, you certainly wont be disappointed!! :-)
