A nice redecorated pub with additional restaurant, good food, atmosphere and reasonably priced with meal specials everyday.
A great place to eat out as a family or a couple

What a way to see in the New Year ,i had been invited to the poachers by freinds that know Tony who runs the pub and from the moment i arrived till the time i fell out the door i was made to feel welcome ,there was food laid on and music going all night , the staff coped well with the amount off people there and the bar was shut for a short while so the staff could join in with us seeing in the New Year .
I will be returning to the poachers as i have heard great things about the food ,especially the Sunday lunch

we went on sunday for lunch . the food was good .
we were seated by the door and it was very cold .
the landlord came over and rigged up two advertising boards by the door to stop the cold .
it was good that someone wanted to go the extra mile to make his customers happy.
we had roast beef and roast potatoes and peas and runner beans and a huge Yorkshire.
we had 4 in our party and all of our dinners were very good .
we will go back and try other meals from a vast menu that is on offer .
I think that you should book as it is a very busy pub .
its a hungry horse pub.
there are puddings on offer and we had been told on certain nights in the week that they do curry and a pint for a very good price .
