I stayed one night only in Dover, and found the room to be adequate for the night. It was clean enough, the floor could have probably been vacuumed a little bit better though. Tea making facilities were good. Toiletries.. well, wall soap and a couple of blocks of soap, so if you want more toiletries bring your own. It was all in all a little tired looking, but as it felt like I was in a grandparents house it was cosy, and comfortable. I meant to tell the owner that the shower had a bit of a drainage problem, but didn't see him on checking out.
I went downstairs for dinner and found the food quite hearty and tasty, the cellar bar was really quaint and I had a really good night talking with the locals and the owner, a real locals pub which I loved.
The room wasn't too badly priced. I had a room overlooking the beer garden, (room 3), so it was off the street which was quiet enough, the only noise notable was the water heater in the bedroom area, which would start up every now and again, but managed a good night sleep.
The location was great, but Dover town isn't all that large so walking distance to most things is easy enough.
