This is a newly opened tea room, which is owned by the National Trust. It is part of the beautiful Victorian south foreland lighthouse. As you expect with lighthouses it has panoramic views of the white cliffs and English channel. Mrs knotts tea room as named after a former lighthouse keepers wife has two beautiful front rooms, both tastefully decorated in a quirky vintage style, compromising of antique furnishings, historical newspapers, black and white personal photos. You are served with individual tea sets and the experience really is something special. It is a well deserved treat after a walk from the east cliffs. The cakes are fantastic and the service is with a warm friendly smile.
