Forget all the major chains if your in Dover, go here. The owner is genuinely hospitable and you get a warm welcome. I always try to support independents on my travels but am too often disappointed, but not here, he obviously cares and it shows. I had an excellent double espresso, made with quality beans and my wife had the black forest hot chocolate which she pronounced delicious. I hope this lovely little coffee shop goes from strength to strength as it fully deserves.

I have visited here on-and-off for the past three years or so, usually for lunch. What first drove me into Goodfillas was the large pirate statue standing in the window - definitely an eye catcher. The food is good, all homemade by the one man who runs the place, and all the food is prepared right in front of your eyes. The owner himself is always friendly, cracking jokes and talking to his customers to ensure they enjoy their visit - especially his regulars. The prices are also incredibly reasonable, especially for a fresh homemade lunch - typically around £2/3 for a sandwich or panini, with extra fillings costing a tiny bit more. Definitely worth the trip for a pleasant lunch that won't leave a hole in your wallet. Outdoor seating is available, but unfortunately given the location at the bottom of the high street, one would much rather sit indoors.

Dover has a good choice of decent restaurants and cafe's but Goodfillas is by far the best in town for value for money, standard of food, cleanliness and atmosphere. You always get a warm welcome when you visit and the owner and staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. The food is freshly cooked in front of you and of a great standard. Cheap in cost only but high in quality. The atmosphere is one of the best I have ever come across and it really is a local whether you're a regular or it's your first time. The choice of hot drinks is fantastic with many different flavours of tea available and freshly made coffee of the highest quality. The cleanliness is there for all to see as everything is done in front of you. It is also a wealth of local knowledge and many tourists are given a helping hand in discovering the sites of Dover from a very helpful and knowledgeable owner. I highly recommend Goodfillas to anyone looking for great value for money and atmosphere in a very friendly local establishment.

We stopped in here upon arriving in Dover for a quick lunch. The restaurant/ coffee shop as I would call it was very nice. A good mix of tables and couch, it has an excellent atmosphere. The food was very good and the staff were tremendous. The gentleman who served us was more then happy to give us advice on what to see in Dover. The food was very reasonably priced. My only criticism was that the bathroom was a little dirty
