“Inaccurate menu”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 June 2014

Service was poor and the food was awful. The menu stated that "our dishes are freshly prepared using local ingredients" well mine certainly was not, unless freshly prepared means taking it from the freezer and putting it in the oven and local means the local cash-and-carry. When I complained the manager said that as the menu didn't say that "all" the dishes were fresh, I should have asked the waiter specifically about every single one. This is completely unacceptable.

“A great place for lunch”

The food here is very good. Cooked fresh and plenty of it to. The staff are friendly and very polite. A fine place for anyone that does lunch, not just us ladies.

“Tasty sandwich.....shame about the rest!!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 May 2014 via mobile

I came here with my mum and partner with the intention of eating our lunch, then take our dog for a nice walk, afterwards, to the woods. We had phoned before to ask if they accomodate dogs, and they replied that yes they are allowed in the picnic area outside. When we arrived there was a sign saying no dogs allowed in the outside seating area, although there was one picnic table outside this area for us to sit on. There were no umbrellas for shade, as it was a very hot day, and no drinking water for the dog. We went in to order our drinks and food, and asked for a pot of tea. When the drinks came out, it was a mug, with a tea bag in the water with the milk already inside the mug. My mum likes her tea strong, but she had no option as the milk was already in the cup. Surely, the milk should go in a jug, so you can add what you require??? We had lovely, tasty sandwiches, and asked for two bowls of chips. The chips were anaemic and tasted like they had been reheated. Very disappointed, as we had visited here previously and had a wonderful eating experience. It has lost it's va-va-voom.

“A surprise find”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 March 2014

We had lunch here with a large group of friends and were pleasantly surprised at the food quality.
I had mushrooms in a garlic cream sauce to start and a chicken and bacon salad, both accompanied by the Farm's home-made bread which was perfect. I think everyone else also enjoyed their meal.

It seemed just the one waitress, but she handled everything perfectly, no waiting and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for her.

All in all, good wholesome but simple fare, well priced.
