We stayed only 1 night end of July 2013 before returning to Frankfurt/Main the next day. A pleasant suprise to see a very nice country house in massive grounds. We had booked in advance and stayed in the Canterbury Room. A friendly reception and included "a cuppa" with the owners. The room was large (and compared to our experience of British accomodation over the previous 3 weeks!) had a large ensuite fully fitted bathroom. As we had to leave early the following morning, the owners prepared a picnic snack box to take with us instead of breakfast which at least kept us going while queing for the ferry !
The only negative points we found was that in the Canterbury Room the mattress was extremely soft, which unfortunately didn't give a good nights sleep, there was no Wifi signal or TV in the room nor were there any keys available to lock the room, the same goes for the main entrance door when we were out. Not saying that Kent is full of crooks, but these points should definately be adressed quickly. If fixed, we would further recommend.More
