First room we had we had air con noise really loud, room very small, we had to ask reception to move, they were quite helpful and polite agreed it was bad, this was at 11.30pm too, they moved us to a family room 2 floors down, this room was ok but a bit run down, lamp hanging off the wall, we slept ok but as soon as people started waking it was a very noisy hotel can hear every footstep and talking so we were up from 5am, up above us particularly noisy as children were running up and down and jumping on the floor for an hour, we didn’t need to wake until 6pm and have a lot of driving ahead of us so wasn’t ideal.

I wasn’t expecting a particularly quiet night knowing that the hotel is close to the port and next to a busy road. What I didn’t expect was constant noise from either an extractor fan or air conditioning unit that was rattling in the ceiling ( I was on the top floor) for the whole night. Wasn’t worth asking for a room change as the hotel was overflowing with contractors . Not a good nights sleep before a long journey. A shame as Premier Inn rooms are always good value, welcoming and clean.

The hotel is located perfectly for using the ferry terminal and exploring Dover. However, the car park fills up quickly with those using the restaurant. The welcome by reception staff is quite poor and standing in the reception area, I was able to hear information about staff that should not have been shared in a public place. Staff were also more interested in discussing work matters than taking care of customers needs

As for the restaurant. Second trip to the hotel and there has been no improvement. Too few staff not able to provide a good customer experience. Poor quality food that was cool upon arrival at the table and that was only after asking how long it would take for the food to arrive after waiting in excess of one hour. Not a very good experience at this premier inn.

Stayed here before a trip to France, hotel was great location but that was about it. Staff weren’t great, bar and restaurant shut early and they were allowing sex workers with truckers in whilst we checked in!
