Stopped while on a cruise, walked by the beach which looked rocky and dirty. Weather was still cold so not many people actually at the beach but not sure it's a very nice beach for swimming when warmer.

The beach is relatively quiet (unless on summer busy weekends days) and particularly beautiful at sunrise.

The beach is entirely shingle like most in the area. Located between the eastern and western arms, the beach is entirely within the harbour.

Promenade behind along which to walk, couple of interesting memorials nearby, to the Kent Miners, and others to the bombing and shelling of Dover 1939-45.

Prince of Wales pier towards the western end can be visited.

Ice cream vendors open when weather is good.

Good views of the Eastern Docks and the coming and going of the ferries all day long.

This beach has pebbles and is small and not the most picturesque beach in Kent, although it does offer fine views of the boats coming in and out of the Eastern Docks and a view of the castle on the hill.

Excellent view of the English channel and the white sands. Traveled in 2009 and reminds me of those good days.
