Our first visit. Went for Sunday carvery lunch. A lovely, simple, home made roast with trimmings for £7.95. The regular menu was also available so the kitchen must have been kept very busy as lots of different dishes were coming past us! All good quality food at realistic prices. Desserts for around £4, so a bit dearer than average for a "cafe" - but large portions and served with custard, cream or ice-cream. "Proper" coffee and a wide selection of soft drinks including milk shakes. Lovely atmosphere, quite a small cafe but no feeling of being crowded in - quietly buzzing, happy staff, happy customers. Comfy leather-type chairs indoors, modern garden seating in the courtyard behind (no sea views at the back but for views sit at their pavement cafe at the front.) No drinks licence but you are welcome to bring your own bottle of wine. Glasses are provided with no corkage charged. We have booked a bigger table for a family treat in a couple of weeks time - looking forward to it.
