I was overwhelmed by this beautiful jewel of a hotel. A very friendly welcome and staff, the hotel is quaint in every way. We stayed on the top floor with an excellent view of the harbor and sea. Nice furnishings and a comfy bed.
I will be back.

Room Tip: The sea view room was great but did not see any other rooms to compare.

Although the rooms were very small and no baths the staff and atmosphere made up for it. Fantastic views of the harbour. Breakfast was better than many large chain hotels. Would recommend for short stays

This hotel is amazing , views overlooking the harbour, comfy clean rooms , fluffy pillows and duvet and where they look after you so well from the chocolate on your pillow to the complimentary cheese board at night. Open fires , excellent public rooms with a choice of an amazing LP collection , free use of laptop and free wi-fi throughout, large screen TV or peace and quiet. Loved the honesty bar with a good selection of wines and spirits. Very varied choice at breakfast and very helpful staff with a good knowledge of the area. Very good pub food nearby and a choice of restaurants. An eclectic mix of art work throughout and every room was different - absolutely loved this place.

Room Tip: Sea views available and some with balconies overlooking the harbour, also some with four poster beds...

Small (well, smallish), but very cute privately owned hotel. Fantastic view across the harbour and marina. Friendly staff and Fantastic breakfast. Loved it. I had a single room which was very small but everything needed was there and it was very cute. In fact, the hotel is decorated in a very engaging and tasteful way and full of quirky objects and paintings/prints which suit the location and period of the house.

Room Tip: Single room is tiny - but everything is there and it is cute.

Hard to fault! The service is excellent, personalised to the point where you can listen to classic albums on the turntable in the main lounge. The welcoming fires made a great difference on a cool Autumn evening. The view over the harbour is fantastic. Our room for four was small but cosy with high quality bedding; the various welcoming lounges largely make up for shortage of bedroom space. Wouldn't consider staying anywhere but here if in the region again.

I stayed here in a top floor single whilst in the sailing regatta. The room whilst small had all I needed and a great view out to sea. The little touches make this place really special - turn down service with chocolate coat buttons, breakfast with so many choices that you would not find in much larger hotels, a sweet little honesty bar, cheese and biscuits for those coming back from a night out still feeling peckish. This is a homely hotel with more of the feeling you are staying as a guest with friends. Will be back next year same time.

Room Tip: There are a lot of steps to the top floor but the views compensate

My wife and I needed a one-night stay in Ramsgate, and opted for a sea view here, with balcony and four-poster bed. The view of the harbout and marina is a knock-out, with wonderful changes of light and the lively bustle of a working port providing endless interest from first thing in the morning. This is a lovely little hotel from which to see the sea, and it has many plus points: friendly staff and service, a very good breakfast (a slab of honeycomb is an unusual feature) and complementary cheese and biscuits and honesty bar, a very good range of books everywhere, including our room (Moliere's Tartuffe rubbed shoulders with Danielle Steel!), and lovely lounges for relaxation. It is also very handy for town centre and a pleasant arcade of restaurants is within five minutes' walk. The four-poster bed was very comfortable, there was a good coffee machine and towels were large, and rooms and corridors have a good range of mainly aquatic paintings. The atmosphere is good, and you can see the thought that has gone into everything. The flipside is perhaps minor, but somewhat intractable. The street is residential and parking spaces are like gold dust. And the rooms facing the sea were indeed distinctly 'cosy'. The sign over the bathroom door ('the smallest bathroom in the world') was whimsical but less ironic than we had hoped!).However, we were warmly received and very well looked after - and it was excellent value for money. Well worth considering, but decide whether exterior views or interior space matter more to you! Rooms at the back, we hear, are the ones for those seeking more space.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front for the magnificent views.
