We came across this place not by accident our friend who is local recommended it so our group of 6 took the plunge. We were not disappointed. Real Ales well kept, great service, the clientele was mixed between locals and members of the Sailing community. We really enjoyed our visit

We often sail to Ramsgate and recently dropped in to this fantastic micro-pub for a quick half before finding somewhere to eat. One through the door we decided to stay put! We were greeted by a young lady who explained the range of beers and ciders available, and the land-lord helped us select a suitable beer, when we said what kind of brew we liked. The beer was ideal, complimented by a couple of simple cheese rolls and a platter of pork-pie with pickles.
As there is no bar, no machines, no music and just a few tables, the atmosphere is different from the other pubs round the marina- relaxing and comfortable, with no feeling that trouble could kick off at any time. This is a pub that has a clear identity- a place to enjoy the simple delights of good beer. No doubt we'll be back on our next visit to Ramsgate.

I spent an excellent midweek evening here in, what from its rear entrance, seemed a most unusual ale house. And, it proved to be. I passed a perspex screen behind which were racked several casks of ales and ciders, before I entered the main room. No bar at which to be served!. What was this place? I was directed to the large blackboard, setting out what was on tap, before selecting an excellent pint of mild (with several to follow). The clientele were all very welcoming and converstaions were easily struck up between everyone there. Again, unusual. On my own, I was made exteremely welcome, so ordered the excellent cheese board, and settled in for the evening. Not a large place but if you like great beer and good company, this is a 'must' visit venue.

This is a great little bar. Seating was limited so we squeezed in alongside a friendly local couple and happily spent the time chatting away. There was a great selection of real ales and ciders at good prices, cheaper in general than most regular pubs. My partner had a cider at 7.5% so he only needed on pint as he felt a bit tipsy soon after! There are some food options: pork pie & pickles, cheeseboard with local cheeses, and whilst we didn't dine we saw others dining and it looked very tasty. If your looking for some local / regional drinking experiences I can recommend this place, and don't be shy, the locals don't bite :-)

What a wonderful little place. Stopped for a drink on Saturday night and pleased to find a little gem in a town with a bad reputation. Lovely girl serving who was knowledgable and helpful. Sat outside and played a couple of games of boules in an area designed for it. Slightly off put by the drunks sitting on the interim of the boules court but they were rather jovial and shouted out tips for throwing! Will visit again.
