We booked the trip to celebrate our son 's birthday. We received a very warm welcome from Stuart, the owner of the rib, which was an ex military boat. Stuart took us through safety procedures and we were clothed in modern style life jackets. Then the fun began! Gently cruising out of the harbour then speeding over the water we headed for the seal colony. With high speed turns left then right we circled the water - all soooo exciting. Reaching the seal colony Stuart gave a superb commentary about the seals (we counted 45-50 of them). He told us about the surrounding countryside and history of the area. We spotted several different species of sea birds. The high number of curlews were particularly good to see and hear their distinctive call. Time went by very quickly and it was time to return. With the harbour in sight Stuart thrilled all by opening the throttle to full speed - scary!!! (but great fun). A few more twists and turns and back to the harbour. Stuart's great sense of humour, his informative knowledge and his attention to safety made for an excellent boat trip. Thank you Stuart for making it so memorable.
