Perfect location, views and comfortable room!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 12 Apr 2024
We really enjoyed our stay at Albion House. They accommodated us in a room with Super King bed to allow our 5yo to sleep with us and have room for a cot for our little one. There isn't a lift to go to the higher floors, which with small kids isn't easy, but it's a period property, so if you appreciate being in a stunning property like this, you will overlook this point. The hotel is decorated beautifully. It's clean and comfortable and it enjoys a prime location and stunning views.

The breakfast for us parents was plentiful and delicious! Only minor point is that there isn't suitable choice of breakfast for little ones. We tried with bacon and egg but it's not something our little ones are used to. Everything else like Eggs Benedict, Eggs Royale etc. are a bit too much for toddlers. Some simple toast, or cereals, or fresh fruit, or a pastry would have all been suitable options that I feel toddlers would be happier with. But that's our experience. I'm sure others would happily argue the opposite.

Overall it was still a 5 star stay. We would not hesitate to return in the future!

Room Tip: The room was very comfortable but perhaps slightly on the smaller side than I'd realised looking...

Absolutely lovely weekend at Albion House. Beautiful corner room with a view over the harbour. Everything in the hotel is beautifully appointed from furniture to artwork. Breakfast was incredible. We had the luck of a sunny weekend but walking down the steps to the harbour or through the gardens was lovely. Staff all incredibly helpful and the restaurant and lounge area both fantastic to hang out in. Perfect!

Room tip: Corner room 7 was lovely.

We were treated by my daughter to a short stay at Albion House for Mothers' Day, and we very much enjoyed it. We liked their attention to detail- very comfortable bed, great views of the harbour and beach, friendly helpful service and stylish ambience. We would definitely return!

The hotel is Stunning, beautifully appointed and decorated.
Spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and luxery bathroom.
I loved the antique furniture in the bedroom.
The bath products and tea were lovely and very welcome.
We ate and drank in the hotel and the choices and dishes, wine could not be faulted.
Everyone was so friendly and very welcoming.
I thoroughly recommend you trying this out for yourselves.

Had the most lovely stay at the Albion. The rooms were warm and cosy, even in February by the windy seaside. The bed was comfortable and the views were dramatic, overlooking the stormy sea outside.
The staff were extremely helpful and professional. They gave that little extra that makes it feel luxurious to stay at a hotel, yet also provided a welcoming atmosphere that makes it feel like home from home. I will stay here again for sure.

Room tip: There are open fire places in the bar area, lovely to snuggle up by and get warm after a beach walk
