Tunbridge wells has a wide range of bars and pubs but the black horse in Camden road as a touch of magic for its customers it is a true traditional pub, hard to find these days ? a wonderful range of beers plus a fantastic atmosphere of local people ,its has a wonderful beer garden also plus traditional games in its pub just how a traditional pub should be, also has many music nights for everyone . This magical gem is a must if your looking for a real pub to read the paper or relax talking to the locals and drinking good Kentish beers from the oldest brewery in Kent. Teresa and Natty will welcome you with a friendly smile .

Absolutely fantastic, I really wanted to throw my partner a last minute surprise party.. I spoke with both the owners, who went through everything I wanted, from decorations through to catering.. (considering they didn't have much time to plan and prepare).. Absolutely fantastic, they catered for 60 people, the party was fantastic and the owners kept everyone happy.. overall it was an amazing experience.. we pop in now on a regular basis..

Went here for a drink with a friend. Not quite sure what it's trying to be. A big pub, but only 4-5 tables, and a massive area with a pool table at the back, but no seats near it, so took up half the pub. The music strangely seemed to be so loud you couldn't talk one minute, then fairly quite the next. Won't be going again.

Hi, thank you for taking the time in writing a review for our community pub.
We do have 6 tables each seating 4 and 1 table that seats 2 (near the pool table).
We also have 3 stalls that are under the ledge by the pool table, as people do play and we have 2 pool teams so it wouldn't be worth having more tables near that area.
It doesn't take up half the pub and we do move it when we have live music or karaoke events.
We only want to be as pub as that's what it has been for a 153 years.
The juke box plays random background music at one level and when somebody puts money in there it naturally comes on louder as its been paid for.
Sorry you didn't enjoy your experience here but I'm not quite sure what you would like us to change as its only a pub we are trying to be.

Gosh, how many times have I been in here?
The atmosphere is fantastic. Natty & Teresa have done a wonderful job since they took over several years ago. They have an excellent wide varied range of beers & lager. The Pool table is well up to League standards & the entertainment, from Open Mic sessions, to Karaoke's is brilliant.
Can't praise this pub highly enough
