What a delightful house. Our hostess, Camilla, was very welcoming considering she was only expecting us for 2 nights and we thought we had booked three but luckily the room was ready.
We felt there were not enough clear spaces on the surfaces in the bedroom and bathroom to put things. Having said that the room was large and even included a dining table, iron and ironing board. There was parking on the road outside but Camilla kindly moved her car so we could park on the driveway. It's about a 15 minute walk to the town centre which is up hill and down dale.
All in all we had a most enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Bower room and would recommend it but have not seen the other room

We have just had a most enjoyable stay at this lovely Edwardian home. Our hostess was most welcoming on arrival and caring throughout our stay. Her attention to detail in our room was outstanding and you could not wish for any more and therefore this B&B surpasses any 5 star hotel. The breakfast was most delicious from a very good choice of menu.
We hope to return soon.

We spent two nights at Alconbury. Camilla is a charming hostess and we felt very welcome and at home there.

This is a lovely Edwardian style home, beautifully furnished mostly with antiquesl, many apparently being family heirlooms. Our room was very comfortable with a good ensuite. The latter was a pleasant surprise because ensuites in the UK are often tinycubilcles with showers which are challenging to operate unless you have a PhD in engineering.

The house is located in a quiet street and a bit of a walk to the centre of Tun Bridge but no problem at all if you have a car.

Breakfast is available from a diverse menu and if necessary Camilla will cater to other needs such as those with allergies.

In all a very welcoming and comfortable B&B.

We stayed at Alconbury guesthouse for two nights, & it was great! Camilla was really friendly, & the choice of breakfast was good - she said that if we wanted something not specified, she could get it in for us. The room was scrupulously clean, & very pretty - real edwardian style & lots of space. Everything was provided - hairdryer, dvd, coffee/tea/biscuits & the beds were warm, cozy & comfortable. She obviously tried to cater for everyone - there was a wide range of good books in the bookshelf, plus games if we had brought small children (it was a getaway without them though!) & internet. Very convienient for the town, & its easy to park outside at any time of the day. Unfortunately the weather was steady rain, but the guesthouse was happily somewhere that made up for it!
Happily go back...

Really lovely B and B in a beautiful building with rooms full of nice little touches. Very spacious and comfortable. Owner couldn't have been more helpful and I was able to have an early breakfast in my room as I had to leave early.

My family and I have been regular guests at the Alconbury Guest House over the last 8 years, usually staying for 2 to 3 nights each time. We always receive an extremely warm welcome from the charming Landlady. The standard of comfort of the room, bed etc and the attention to detail is outstanding - everything you could possibly require is provided in the room. The rooms and, in fact, the whole house are tastefully furnished and, most importantly, it is all kept scrupulously clean. The breakfasts are also absolutely delicious. In fact we just cannot praise it enough and are really looking forward to our next visit.

We had a lovely weekend in Kent, staying at the Alconbury. The B&B is very conveniently located for the town. We had a warm welcome, and the room was beautiful, and I have to give a special mention for the bathroom, which had a gorgeous deep bath for wallowing, and luxurious soap etc. Lovely breakfast, too. We'd definitely stay here again.
