Enjoyed a lovely evening with friends during the Local & Live event last Saturday (23/08/2014) we managed to get a table on the Pantiles and enjoyed an excellent meal and some good music. The staff at this restaurant were great fun and the wine was excellent.

We will eat here again.

“Excellent service, lovely location”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

We struggled making our reservation because the Spanish-speaking waiter is, well, just that.

However, great service, a helpful proprietor who is happy to make suggestions and adapt dishes to personal taste, a wide choice of reasonably priced wines, and very generous portions made this a definite hit - if we hadn't been in greedy-mode, the starters alone would have constituted a meal.

“Rustic food in lovely setting”
Reviewed 30 July 2014 via mobile

Enjoyed the food, atmosphere was nice. Had a lovely pizza, service was good but highlight is the location right near the bandstand on the Pantiles. Jazz night is fabulous fun, enjoyed sitting outside, with the lovely food felt like I could have been on the coast in the med.

“Fantastico!”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

Met my parents who live in Eastbourne and myself in Higham met in Tunbridge Wells as a half way for both of us! Never having been to the Pantiles we wondered up and down and of course this caught our eye for the outdoor seating and Spanish/Portuguese food! Lydia found us a table outside and we ordered the Scallops with Chorizo and Squid to start, followed by the paella which was great, better if they used 'bomba' rice for paella rather than long grain rice but still beautiful! Great service, chatted to the owner who is from Chile about wine and food and we were served by a young lad (half Spanish) and then a Portuguese waiter who took over.....lovely ambience, fantastic latin music which you never hear on the streets of Kent! If I lived closer I'd go regularly and definitely sample the live music...I'll be back and would recommend this place! I have lived in both Spain and Venezuela as well as LA and it's hard to find a great Latin place in the UK so VIVA LA CASA VECCHIA! Ole!!!!
