I love the fact that you can walk the dog without a lead. It is the only place in Tunbridge Wells that is safe to do this and my little Bichon Friche absolutely loves it. Relaxing feeling whilst there and the little cafe does some good food.

Great gardens and castle...National Trust property. Take a picnic. Best in Spring, get down there :-)

Go for walks here regularly, definitely the best park in T Wells. Great for going for a run or just sitting and relaxing. Nothing better on a sunny day

A really lovely park. Landscaped with hidden, architecturally beautiful fountains and temples. Huge pond with an island for the ducks etc. Not too keen on the hired pedal boats as the kids kept going too near to the island and spooking the birds. Gravelled or Tarmac paths to all areas and an area for the kids to swing, clamber and generally play which was away from the temple/fountain area where you could find some peace and quiet. Cafe with scenic view but I didn't go in. And a tranquil area devoted to RTW's Victoria Cross holders where you could sit and appreciate/contemplate life. Something for everyone.

Given it's entirely artificial and very old we should worry about Dunorlan's fragility. Yet it's the most robust place to look at nature. I've had so many great moments watching swans, ducks, frogspawn, newts, dragonflies and people enjoying the space. It's one of my favourite places to be.
