The park is nearly opposite the railway station and gives the opportunity to enjoy some peace, although still close to the bustle of the High Street. It is well laid out and there is a lovely cafe in the centre. At Christmas there is an ice rink in the park.

This place has been transformed with a huge real ice ring, wood huts selling christmas goods and the best sausages, it really feels like Christmas. My grandson loved it, the ice ring is booked in sessions, so never to many on the ice, and for little ones there is a push around buggy type.

a Park in the centre of town with well maintained gardens and facilities. A stroll through Calverley on a Summer's day is a delight. Then over the Xmas period they set up an ice skating rink and winter market. Only downside is you can get gangs of kids and undesirables hanging around of an evening drinking cans of something that I don't quite recognise.

Had time for a stroll before going to dinner. Very pleasant, although quite a few folk drinking in the park

The first decent day of Spring 2013; parts of the park were full of life - the croquet park, lots of children on the hard sports court...but in the far corners a few folk loitered drinking cans of alcohol so not so good for kids. We had a cuppa tea in the cafe and it was fine. Good and hot and a reasonable price. I'm sure it will all look better in the summer and it was good to be able to get away from the bustle of the town. Just needs sprucing up a bit.
