A truly fabulous place. We went to visit the Big Cat Sanctuary today. Our ten year daughter sponsored Maya (as seen on TV) and the rest of the family went with her as her guests. What a fabulous place. You are up close and personal with so many beautiful cats. We had a beautiful sunny day but it would’ve been just as special whatever the weather. We watched Giles interacting with Maya for a whole hour and he answered all our questions. It felt very special. There are only certain events that children are allowed to go to and this is one of them. If you get the chance go. They need donations and this is a way of contributing but also having a truly lovely afternoon. This is the first of many visits I hope. Magical experience. Thank you to Giles and all his staff and Maya of course.

Thank you for reviewing your visit to The Big Cat Sanctuary.

We are so glad that your family found their visit, following your daughter's adoption of Maya, to be such a magical experience.

Getting up close and personal with the cats is indeed a special experience and we are happy to hear that you all particularly appreciated Giles' answering all your questions.

Thanks again for taking the time to review and recommend us. We hope you will be able to visit us again in the future.

My wife booked this for my birthday and what a truly unforgettable experience it turned out to be.
They have 4 lodges on the site which are spacious and decorated very nicely and in keeping with the theme of Big Cats. Each lodge is named after a big cat and has a cuddly toy of that cat on the bed, which was a nice touch.
You feel special as soon as you arrive with the main building decorated like a safari lodge. You start with afternoon tea in the main lodge which has windows looking directly into the large Lion pen. Two magnificent lions were lying a couple of feet the other side of the windows. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to answer questions. After tea you are taken around to see an incredible array of cats and because there are only 4 couples in the group you get plenty if opportunity to talk to the guides and ask questions.
The meal in the evening is nice and the drinks afterwards fun.
After breakfast the next day the real fun starts. We got to stroke Lions , hand feed an amazing Tiger, stand in a pen with a Cheetah and also hand feed a huge male Lion. These are experiences I will never forget and we have many great photos to help bring it back to life too.
This really is the closest you can get to going to Africa and the work the sanctuary does is incredible too.

We are very happy to hear that you so enjoyed celebrating your birthday with an Overnight Big Cat Safari here at The Big Cat Sanctuary and that you found it such a unique and unforgettable experience. It's good to hear that our staff made you feel so special.

We are glad to hear too that you found your Lodge so comfortable and enjoyed the food whilst watching our two lion brothers. As you say, though, the cats are the real stars and we are pleased you so enjoyed your interactions with them and appreciate the work The Big Cat Sanctuary does for the big cats both here and in the wild.

Thanks again for taking the time to review us and we hope to see you again at some time in the future.

What a roaring success! The experience was everything we'd hoped for and more. It was such a privilege to be so close to the 'big' and 'small' cats, and to have such enthusiastic staff share their knowledge about them was truly engaging. All other aspects of the stay exceeded expectations. We would definitely visit again.

As a family of big cat lovers we are proud supporters of the Big Cat Sanctuary, both as members and adopters. This has been made all the more rewarding for our son since Giles Clark became the director of the sanctuary - our son rates Giles as one of his heroes and aspires to be a zookeeper just like Giles.
As adopters of the cats you get the amazing opportunity to visit the sanctuary on one of their adopters days. With this you get to wander the facility at your leisure, admiring the fantastic array of cats housed at the sanctuary. You also get to listen to talks about particular species throughout the day and get an insight into both the animals themselves and the amazing work being done by all the staff at the sanctuary in respect of big cat conservation.
We look forward to our adopter day every year and also try to visit on one of their summer open days. If you fancy a more intimate experience with a big cat you can also treat yourself or a loved one to an amazing gift via the sanctuary’s website.

I can not recommend supporting and visiting the Big Cat Sanctuary enough as words do not do either the facility or staff justice.

The ranger for the day experience was just out of this world. One of the best days I have ever had. The staff clearly love their work and show such respect for these big cats. I will go again. Being so close to these cats was awesome and to get to hand feed them made me emotional . It maybe on the expensive side but this sanctuary depends on these experiences to continue to provide for this wonderful facility
